Behind the scenes photography and stills for film shoots and other productions. View me on IMDb.
As a film or production director, you need to be able to market yourself and your work. Your actors/talent need to market themselves, as does your crew.
This is where I come in... I can produce high quality, marketable stills and behind-the-scenes (BTS) images for any live production or film shoot - whether it's for a short film, commercial, music video or a feature-length film or television series, or a theatre performance.
My photography is of a broadly photojournalistic and documentary style - skills gained through years of covering public events; meaning I capture images as the shoot is unfolding. This allows me to ensure that you, your cast and your crew are captured in the moment - doing what you and they do best without any distractions.
Rates are negotiable and flexible - payable by the day - to fit any production budget. Included in the base price includes:
- Time physically spent on set, including time spent processing images.
- Use of images (with attribution) by you as well as by crew and talent, and for the purpose of marketing.
- Any use of images for the purpose of film production (i.e. printed to use as props).
Turnaround times are also usually quick, within 24-48 hours of the shoot taking place (often sooner). More of my production photography work can be viewed on Flickr
"We have hired Matt as an on set and stills photographer on many of our film sets. He is a delight and his work is of an exceptional quality."
– Dia Taylor, Managing Director of Taymaynari Productions.
I'm currently working as behind the scenes and stills photographer on set of Jett
for Taymaynari Productions
. Currently in filming, this film is expected to be completed and released sometime in 2022.
Synopsis (taken from the Taymaynari Productions website):
Jett is the story of the rise and fall of a dysfunctional band in the
seedy, bustling world of Melbourne's underground music scene.
When Jett Walker (Adam Boswell) proposes starting a band with his
friends Flynn (Callum .G. Gault), Drew (Oliver Midson), and Kitty (Raine
Alexandra), what starts off as a pursuit of passion quickly escalates.
After a rocky start, fame lifts the ambitious young friends to new
heights and "Heavy Lies the Crown" becomes a household name. As Jett
embraces the rock-star lifestyle, egos begin to clash as relationships
form and break, and as the music and the business come to odds.
When tragedy strikes, the band's loyalty to the music - and to each other - is put to the test.
